One of the things I really enjoy doing is using my converted full spectrum 18 megapixel Nikon L620 camera during the day to take stunning IR photographs. The Nikon L620 has been converted to full spectrum for night use ghost hunting but the lens is threaded so I can easily add different filters to the camera. The following photos were all shot using an IR 720nm filter which of course blocks all visible light up to 720nm. I purchased this camera on Ebay for $189.00 fully converted to full spectrum with the 720nm IR lense from Ebay seller Image-Laboratory and have been extremely happy with it.
But the truly amazing thing about this camera is it’s light gathering ability. Below is the camera in full spectrum mode with photos of the night sky in which you can see the constellation Orion. These are hand held point and shoot photos. No tripod or long exposure or lights were used.
