Can We Rescue the Republic Before the Dark Politics Take Over?
Source: Kirk Nielsen, Miller-McCune.com
Did America slip into a semiliterate, polarized, pre-fascist state over the past decade or so, allowing greedy oligarchs and corporate elites to run the government? Two books I recently read offer reasonably persuasive evidence and arguments that the country did, and a third suggests that dictatorial mindsets could besiege Americans, with an assist from the Internet, if they don’t come to their more deliberative senses. Each of the books offers an informed diagnosis of the dangers that widespread ignorance and ideological polarization pose for American democracy, though none offers a comprehensive treatment for the malaise.
I read the three books in less than two weeks; friends ask how that was possible. The trick is to avoid not only Facebook and Twitter but also: celebrity news, cable news,Oprah, Jerry Springer, American Idol, The Swan, other reality-TV shows, professional wrestling, violent pornography, positive psychology and right-wing Christian fundamentalism.
Obama Executive Order Cedes US Sovereignty, Citizen Rights to Interpol
Source: DBKP
Nixon was a bush leaguer. Disturbing Executive Order that Obama signed Sunday grants Interpol immunity from subpoenas, searches, FOIA–in short, it allows Interpol to collect data on US citizens without any redress. A ‘separate’ Interpol agency has been created in the DOJ. This is wrong on a variety of levels.

How to describe the following Executive Order?
Extra-constitutional? Unconstitutional? Criminal? A naked Executive branch power grab? Or, just a signing away of sovereign U.S. rights that American citizens enjoyed until this was signed?
Readers can read and judge for themselves.

Northwest Bomb Plot Is A U.S. Devised False Flag
Source: CLG
In 2008, the ACLU estimated the US ‘No Fly List‘ to have grown to over 1,000,000 names — heck, even Cat Stevens and the late Senator Ted Kennedy were on it — and it continues to expand. But, suspected terrorist Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab, who was curiously able to obtain military-grade high explosives –80 grams of PETN (Gee, where’d he get that?) — managed to escape airport security and detonate his underwear bomb!
In April 2009, American authorities reportedly refused an Air France flight from Paris to Mexico entry into US airspace because a left-wing journalist writing a book on the CIA was on board. Hernando Calvo Ospina, who works for Le Monde Diplomatique and has written on revolutionary movements in Cuba and Colombia, figured on the US authorities’ ‘no-fly list.’ Air France said the April 18 flight was forced to divert to the French Caribbean island of Martinique before continuing its journey (telegraph.co.uk).
Got it? Write a book critical of the CIA — you cannot fly. Carry explosives (allegedly from Yemen) on board when the US is trolling for an excuse to invade and occupy Yemen for its oil — yes you can! The US needs false flags to provide cover for illegal invasions and occupations. The 9/11 terrorist attacks (aka inside job, six ways to Sunday) worked well for the US government; the security-industrial complex made billions and US corporaterrorists were able to negotiate the wholesale theft of Iraq’s oil.
Foiled Terrorist Bombing in Detroit: An Excuse to Expand the Bogus War On Terror
Source: Black Listed News
The explosion of what witnesses describe as a firecracker on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit on Christmas arrives at an opportune time for the Obama administration. The alleged perpetrator, Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab, like shoe bomber Richard Reid before him, appears to be an incompetent patsy. Mutallab told investigators he was on a mission from al-Qaeda and he got the explosive materials for the botched attack in Yemen.
Yemen is a new front in the war against the manufactured enemy al-Qaeda. Not only is the United States providing assisstance to the Yemeni government to bomb supposed al-Qaeda bases in the southern part of the country, but Saudi Arabia conducted airstrikes against targets in the north. Mohamed al-Anisi, the Yemeni national security chief, told told the Saudi Arabian newspaper Okaz that his forces were cooperating with Washington on attacks and accused Iran of aiding Houthi Shiite rebels. Earlier this week, a Saudi Ministry of Defense official said 73 Saudis were killed fighting the Houthi rebels, according to Deutsche Presse-Agentur. FULL STORY
Video: Alex Jones – Big Government Forces Health Care Bill Despite Bi-partisan Opposition
IN A SPECIAL NEWS BULLETIN, Alex Jones warns against the Big Government, Big Insurance Health Care Bill being forced down in the Senate despite opposition by members in both parties and an overwhelming majority of Americans.
After all the denial, the final version of the bill proves to have in place the so-called death panels, the abortion funding, no public option, cuts in Medicare and forced coverage backed by heavy fines or prison.
Outrageously, Senator Reid & co. have added a section to the bill, Section 3403, that prevents any future Congress from changing the Medicare Advisory Boards (i.e. the ‘death panels’). Section 3403 reads “it shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment, or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection.”

Under the radar, Obama pushes for Patriot Act renewal
Source: Lake Land Times
With key sections of the U.S. Patriot Act set to expire Dec. 31, the Obama administration – essentially tiptoeing through the corridors of Congress and using the raucous health care debate as cover – has quietly maneuvered for renewal of the controversial provisions, which he opposed as a senator.
Perhaps the most contentious measure is the business records provision, also known as the library provision, which allows the government to seek a court order forcing private entities such as banks, hospitals, and libraries to hand over “any tangible thing” – from library circulation records to medical records – officials think is relevant in a terrorist investigation.
This week, with time running out and no time to debate the bill on its merits, Democratic supporters of reauthorization in the Senate tried but fail to win House support to embed the provisions in a separate $626 billion Pentagon funding bill. The House has passed a bill with stronger civil liberties protections, but that version is not expected to survive.
Congress will now likely approve temporary extensions and deal with reauthorization early next year, giving opponents renewed hope they can still defeat or modify aspects of the national security language. Full Story
World hit with record snow and arctic temperature as Copenhagen Global Warming Hoax Ends

As the global warming hoax concluded in Copenhagen, winter storms set records for snow
Although the final Copenhagen agreement is largely being dismissed as a failure by both the mainstream media and climate skeptics, it is for the best that this global warming hoax did not proceed as planned. And just to prove a point on this New World Order, One World Government scam here are a few headlines from this week.
“Over 50% of the USA is now covered in snow” As the Mid-Atlantic states were completely white on Sunday, December 20, 2009, in the wake of a record-breaking snow storm. The storm deposited between 12 and 30 inches of snow in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. on December 19, according to the National Weather Service. For many locations, the snowfall totals broke records for the most snow to fall in a single December day.
“Severe weather kills dozens in Europe” Fifteen homeless people killed in Warsaw alone as temperatures dip to as low as -33C in Europe and snow leads to travel chaos.
“WSI sees colder than normal winter in most of U.S.” Colder than normal temperatures are expected to sweep across much of the United States from January through March, private forecaster WSI said
in its latest winter outlook on Monday.
“Colder, wetter winter on tap; weekend a taste of what’s to come” Colder than normal and snowier than normal. That’s the general theme through the winter,” said Brian Edwards, a meteorologist with AccuWeather in State College, Pa.
Looks like a whole lot of global warming going on….NOT

In face of the growing missile threat against Israel, the IDF Home Front Command and the US National Guard have decided to exchange liaisons to enable a steady exchange of information on civil defense, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
The decision to send a liaison to the US from the Home Front Command was approved by the General Staff and OCHome Front Command Maj.-Gen. Yair Golan several weeks ago. The officer, who will hold the rank of lieutenant-colonel, will be stationed in Washington and serve as a permanent liaison to the National Guard, the Federal EmergencyManagement Agency (FEMA) and the US Northern Command (NORTHCOM), the military command responsible for protecting the American homeland and supporting local, state and federal authorities.
Sources in the Home Front Command said on Sunday that the officer, who will also represent the Defense Ministry’s National Emergency Management Authority, would be sent to the US in the coming weeks.
The National Guard liaison, an officer with the rank of major, was stationed at HomeFront Command headquarters near Ramle two months ago. IDF sources said he would remain in Israel for another month and then return to the US, where the National Guardwill decide if it plans to station a permanent liaison here, or make do with short, periodic visits. There’ll be nowhere to run from the new world government

There is scope for debate – and innumerable newspaper quizzes – about who was the most influential public figure of the year, or which the most significant event. But there can be little doubt which word won the prize for most important adjective. 2009 was the year in which “global” swept the rest of the political lexicon into obscurity. There were “global crises” and “global challenges”, the only possible resolution to which lay in “global solutions” necessitating “global agreements”. Gordon Brown actually suggested something called a “global alliance” in response to climate change. (Would this be an alliance against the Axis of Extra-Terrestrials?)
Some of this was sheer hokum: when uttered by Gordon Brown, the word “global”, as in “global economic crisis”, meant: “It’s not my fault”. To the extent that the word had intelligible meaning, it also had political ramifications that were scarcely examined by those who bandied it about with such ponderous self-importance. The mere utterance of it was assumed to sweep away any consideration of what was once assumed to be the most basic principle of modern democracy: that elected national governments are responsible to their own people – that the right to govern derives from the consent of the electorate. Copenhagen Summit Has Established A World Government
“Institutional framework” paves the way for unelected international bureaucracy

Friday, Dec 18, 2009
Amid all the mainstream media reports of the talks in Copenhagen “limping” to a close and having failed, Lord Christopher Monckton, reporting from the summit, has stated that the only goal of the conference was to implement the framework and the funding for a world government – which he asserts has been achieved.
“That is the one thing that they are definitely going to succeed in doing here and they will announce that as a victory in itself, and they will be right because that is the one and only single aim of this entire global warming conference, to establish the mechanism, the structure, and above all the funding for a world government.” the British politician, business consultant, policy adviser exclusively told the Alex Jones show yesterday.
“They are going to take from the western countries the very large financial resources required to do that.” Monckton said, adding “They will disguise it by saying they are setting up a $100 billion fund for adaptation to climate change in third world countries, but actually, this money will almost all be gobbled up by the international bureaucracy.” FULL STORY
